Day 1: Waterfall Hiking

Huaxtla is an ideal ecotourism destination, recognized for its natural trails, impressive waterfalls, and panoramic views that inspire exploration and wonder. Among its most notable routes is the Sendero Cascada de Temporal, a hike of approximately 1.5 km leading to the majestic Cascada Ojo de Agua, surrounded by pristine nature and lesser-known corners of the canyon.

The experience is enhanced with a guided night hike, offering the opportunity to observe nocturnal wildlife along a 2 km trail. The walk concludes with a campfire under the starry sky and a snack to close the day. During the season, Huaxtla also offers firefly watching — a natural spectacle experienced with respect and environmental care.

The tour includes a SECTUR-accredited guide, adventure insurance, environmental interpretation, a campfire snack, and access to camping areas, restrooms, showers, and on-site security — ensuring a comfortable, safe, and nature-conscious experience.
