Day 1: Nature & Museum
The Sonoran Desert and the Sea of Cortez meet in a journey shaped by vast horizons, outdoor thrills, and coastal tradition.
Activities
Departing from Hermosillo, we head toward the iconic saguaro forest, where towering cacti define the unmistakable silhouette of the Sonoran Desert. This resilient ecosystem sets the tone for a day rooted in raw natural beauty.
From there, the adventure continues to the Dunas de San Nicolás — sweeping sand formations where you’ll experience the exhilaration of sandboarding. The activity includes park entry, board, and goggles, allowing you to glide across golden dunes framed by dramatic desert scenery.
Later, we travel to Bahía de Kino for lunch (not included), with time to savor the region’s fresh seafood and coastal flavors.
An optional visit to the Museo Comca’ac offers insight into the history and culture of the Comca’ac (Seri) people; admission not included. The day concludes with a stroll along the pier and artisan market, where you can discover and purchase locally crafted goods.
By late afternoon, we begin the return journey to Hermosillo — carrying with us the textures of sand, salt air, and Sonora’s enduring spirit.
