Day 1: Universal Color
A first approach to Zacatecas through universal art and the creative force of Pedro Coronel.
Activities: Upon our arrival in Zacatecas, reception at the airport, bus station, or agreed point and transfer to the hotel for check-in. We begin the cultural experience “Universal Color,” dedicated to the legacy of Pedro Coronel, a Zacatecan artist who projected his work internationally without detaching from his identity.
We visit the Pedro Coronel Museum, located in the former convent of Santo Domingo, a 17th-century Baroque building. We walk through its rooms to see the masters personal collection, which includes works by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Salvador Dali, Paul Klee, Marc Chagall, and Francisco de Goya, as well as pieces of pre-Hispanic, Oriental, and African art. Through the tour, we understand how his work dialogues with light, geometry, and spirituality, evoking fire, earth, and cosmos in poetic balance. Afterward, we have free time to walk through the historic center of Zacatecas, exploring plazas, cafes, and galleries that keep the citys artistic vocation alive. We close the day with free dinner and rest at the hotel.
