Day 3: Santiago & Cola de Caballo Waterfall

Sunday, June 21

Surrounded by pine- and oak-covered mountains, Nuevo León reveals a landscape of water, stone, and living traditions just beyond Monterrey’s metropolitan edge.

After breakfast, depart for the Pueblo Mágico of Santiago, a mountain town where daily life moves at a gentler pace. Begin with a visit to Cascada Cola de Caballo, the region’s most emblematic waterfall, framed by forested trails and scenic viewpoints overlooking the rugged terrain.

Continue into Santiago’s main square, a gathering place bordered by traditional buildings and the historic Iglesia de Santiago Apóstol. The visit includes cultural spaces such as the regional museum and Casa de la Cultura, offering insight into the area’s heritage and identity.

Before returning to Monterrey, stop in Los Cavazos, known for its lively local atmosphere and its selection of regional sweets and handcrafted goods.

Day 4: Monterrey by Night

When night falls, Monterrey transforms — mountains outlined in light, public spaces glowing, and a vibrant urban energy defining the capital of Nuevo León.

The morning is free for rest or personal exploration. At dusk, begin a guided evening tour starting at Paseo Santa Lucía, where illuminated waters connect downtown with revitalized industrial zones, creating a serene and photogenic setting.

Continue to Parque Fundidora, whose monumental steel structures and open esplanades take on a dramatic presence after dark.

The experience concludes at Mirador Asta Bandera, offering sweeping nighttime views of Monterrey framed by the silhouette of the Sierra Madre Oriental. Return to the hotel for overnight rest.

Day 5: Natural Connection in Cuatro Ciénegas

Deep in the desert of Coahuila, Cuatro Ciénegas emerges as an oasis of crystalline waters, white dunes, and landscapes that defy expectations of northern Mexico.

After breakfast, depart for this singular Pueblo Mágico. Stroll its quiet, sunlit streets, where an unhurried rhythm invites exploration on foot.

The day continues with visits to its extraordinary natural surroundings, renowned for spring-fed wetlands, brilliant blue pools, and clear rivers such as the Mezquites. These bodies of water, bordered by pale sands and desert-adapted vegetation, form one of Mexico’s most remarkable ecosystems.

The itinerary also introduces the region’s winemaking tradition with a visit to local wineries, where vineyards thrive against an arid backdrop. Return to the hotel with the sense of having discovered a place defined by silence, contrast, and natural wonder.

Day 6: World Cup Fever in Monterrey

Breakfast at the scheduled time, followed by a free morning to relax or explore at your leisure.
