THE ROUTE

“Get to Know Guanajuato” Pack

Day 1: Canyons, Rapids, and the Mystery of the Sunken Church

Our journey begins in Tarandacuao with a traditional breakfast to fuel up for the action. Depending on the weather, we’ll embark on a thrilling kayaking or whitewater rafting expedition, either navigating the dramatic rock formations of La Toma Canyon or challenging the rapids of the La Carbonera section under the expert eye of our guides.

After a regional lunch and a brief rest, we’ll continue our kayak navigation toward the Solís Dam. Here, we’ll witness one of Mexico’s most enigmatic sights: the Sunken Church, an architectural ghost rising from the depths as we watch the sunset reflect off the mirror-like water. We’ll close the day with a cozy dinner and local coffee before resting in the Jardín Servín ecotourism cabins.

Day 2: Water Rappelling and Artisanal Heritage

We start the morning with a total relaxation experience in the Puruagüita thermal waters, surrounded by nature and the morning song of local birds.

To get the heart racing again, we’ll practice water rappelling, descending through vertical rock walls and crystalline waterfalls. After this final adrenaline rush, you’ll have the chance to connect with the authentic flavors of Southern Guanajuato through a banquet prepared by traditional cooks. To conclude our trip, we’ll visit the world-renowned high-temperature ceramics workshops to observe the talent of local artisans and acquire unique stoneware pieces before concluding our services.
