Day 1: Orizaba – Where History Meets the Sky
Our adventure begins in Orizaba, affectionately known as the “City of Joyful Waters.” After breakfast, we visit the iconic Iron Palace (Palacio de Hierro). This architectural jewel, designed by Gustave Eiffel, is the only metal palace of its kind in the world and houses fascinating museums dedicated to both beer and soccer.
After visiting the Cathedral, we’ll ascend via cable car—one of the highest in Mexico—to the summit of Cerro del Borrego. From the Atalaya lookout, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views before exploring the hilltop museum. We’ll round out the afternoon with a regional feast and a visit to the Poliforum, a cultural hub where local art and history converge.
