Nayarit: From the Sea to History
The journey begins early with a transfer from the historic Exconvento de la Cruz in Tepic, heading toward the legendary port of San Blas.
To kick off the day with the right energy, our first stop is Las Garzas Restaurant, where you’ll enjoy a breakfast featuring the freshest local ingredients. Once fueled up, we head to El Borrego Beach for a surfing experience led by local experts on one of Nayarit’s most iconic shorelines.
After hitting the waves, it’s time to spark your creativity with a woven bracelet workshop—a perfect chance to craft your own local souvenir right by the sea.
Lunch is served at Playa Azul Restaurant, showcasing traditional dishes from the Nayarit coast. You’ll have free time to swim, walk along the vast golden sands of El Borrego, or simply relax under the sun before the final leg of the trip.
The afternoon concludes with a guided walk through the beach and marina area, where you’ll learn about the history of San Blas and its strategic importance as a colonial port. Before heading back, we’ll stop at the Malecón Lighthouse to capture a souvenir photo at the monumental “San Blas” letters, closing the day with a stunning view of the harbor before the return trip to Tepic.
