Coahuila Experience: Jewels of the Desert

Day 1: Welcome to Saltillo – Culture and Science

Arrival at Ramos Arizpe International Airport and transfer to Saltillo. We begin at the Desert Museum (Museo del Desierto), one of Latin America’s premier natural science institutions. Afterward, we’ll explore the Historic Center to admire its colonial architecture, majestic temples, and traditional plazas.

Día 1

Day 2: Vineyards and the Charm of Parras de la Fuente

On day two, we head to Parras de la Fuente, the cradle of winemaking in the Americas. You’ll enjoy a tour of the lush vineyards and ancient cellars of Casa Madero, followed by a professional guided wine tasting. The afternoon is yours to stroll through the enchanting streets of this Pueblo Mágico.

Día 2

Day 3: Artisanal Traditions and Return to Saltillo

Dedicated to regional flavors, this day features visits to boutique artisanal wineries to sample local spirits and liqueurs. We’ll also visit a traditional candy factory to see the artisanal process behind Northern Mexico’s famous sweets before returning to Saltillo.

Day 4: Into the Natural Paradise of Cuatro Ciénegas

Departure for Cuatro Ciénegas and check-in at the exclusive Hotel Hacienda 1800. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the stunning Gypsum Dunes (Dunas de Yeso), a landscape of pure white sand unique in Mexico—perfect for hiking, exploring, and watching a mesmerizing desert sunset.

Día 4

Day 5: Miraculous Waters and Dinner at the Marble Mines

Explore the valley’s most iconic ecosystems, such as Poza Azul (Blue Pond) and the Mezquites River, where you can swim in crystal-clear waters (seasonal). Enjoy free time to explore the town and shop for local crafts. The experience reaches its peak with an exclusive sunset dinner at the Marble Mines (Minas de Mármol), a breathtaking natural stage.

Día 5

Day 6: Farewell to the Desert

After breakfast in Cuatro Ciénegas, we provide a transfer back to Saltillo or the Ramos Arizpe International Airport for your departing flight or to continue your Mexican adventure.
