Three Magic Towns of Yucatan: Community and Cenotes

A day dedicated to community tourism, Maya culture, and traditional gastronomy of southern Yucatan.

Activities: The tour begins with a visit to Tekit, a Maya community known for its traditions and community tourism activities, where you get a close look at local life and some of its cultural practices.

Subsequently, we continue to Tekax, where adventure activities and tours are held through some of the natural landscapes surrounding this southern destination. Later, the tour reaches the Pueblo Magico of Mani, recognized for its culinary tradition. Here, we enjoy local gastronomy by tasting poc chuc, one of the most representative dishes of Yucatecan cuisine.

A second day dedicated to nature and community tourism in the cenote region of central Yucatan.

Activities: The journey continues with a transfer to Homun, a community known for its wide range of open, semi-open, and cavern cenotes managed by local cooperatives.

During the visit, we explore some of these cenotes to enjoy swimming activities and discover the unique natural environment of this area, considered one of the main cenote corridors in Yucatan. The experience allows for a closer look at the work of the communities managing these natural spaces, concluding the day with time to enjoy the landscape and the cenote experience.
