Day 1: Tierra Adentro Vineyards
A first encounter with the winemaking landscape of the Zacatecan high plateau through a specialized experience at Tierra Adentro Vineyards, a project that recovers the region’s agricultural tradition historically linked to the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro.
Activities: The day takes place at Tierra Adentro Vineyards, a winemaking project that interprets the landscape of the Zacatecan High Plateau through vine cultivation and respect for the land. This space is located within the historic route of the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, also known as the Silver Road or the Santa Fe Road, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. During the visit, it is possible to choose between different tours to explore the vineyard facilities and the winemaking process.
- Basic Tour: Includes a guided train ride through the vineyards and production areas, as well as a visit to the cellar, the tasting room, and the sampling area. During the journey, the winemaking process is explained, and you visit the Barrel Museum (Museo de la Barrica), considered the only one of its kind in Mexico.
- Crianza Tour: Expands the experience with a journey through part of the 50 hectares of vineyards, as well as the projects medal gallery, the production area, the cellar, and the tasting room, where the specific winemaking process of this winery is detailed.
- Reserva Tour: For those seeking a more complete experience, this tour allows for exploring the vineyards by train or bicycle, in addition to visiting the production area, the cellar, the Barrel Museum, and the tasting room, with detailed explanations of each stage of the process.
Gran Reserva Tour: Focuses on the sensory experience of wine. During the guided tasting, you learn to identify colors, aromas, flavors, and textures, tasting four wines from the Crianza and Reserva lines accompanied by a sommelier. The experience includes a Spanish pairing board and a full tour of the facilities.
