A Journey of Tradition, Flavor, and Adventure: Compostela, Nayarit

The journey begins in the heart of the Magical Town of Compostela with breakfast at Camahuer, the perfect starting point to explore this historic city.

The morning is dedicated to local mastery with a visit to Talabartería Ibarría. This region is world-renowned for its exquisite saddles and fine leatherwork. After a stroll through the Main Plaza and the iconic Parish of Santiago Apóstol, we’ll attend a cigar-rolling workshop, learning the artisanal hand-rolling technique that has earned this area international fame.

After a home-cooked lunch at La Cocina de Esme, we’ll head to the Mis Amores Cabins in the community of Mazatán. This mountain retreat invites you to a total “off-the-grid” experience: a night without electricity for deep rest, candlelight conversations, and stargazing, all while enjoying dinner surrounded by the soothing sounds of the forest.

Day two wakes you up with the rich aroma of the highlands in Cumbres de Huicicila. Here, we’ll walk the Coffee Route, discovering the high-altitude plantations and the meticulous process that transforms the bean into one of Nayarit’s most prized beverages.

The morning’s calm turns into pure adrenaline as we head to the Mazatán Waterfall. Experience a thrilling rappel descent right alongside the falling water—a vibrant encounter with the raw power of nature.

To round off the adventure, we’ll enjoy a traditional meal in Mazatán before returning to Compostela for a stop at Raspados El Manantial, a local classic perfect for a refreshing treat. The afternoon concludes with free time to wander the cobblestone streets, shop for artisanal souvenirs, and say goodbye to this hidden Nayarit gem.
