Day 1: Welcome to the Bajío – A Sensory Pairing

Our journey begins with a private transfer from Guadalajara to Guanajuato City (approx. 3.5 hours). Upon arrival, prepare for an unforgettable evening: a four-course pairing dinner designed by a local chef who reinterprets traditional Guanajuato cuisine with a contemporary flair. Guided by a professional sommelier, you’ll explore a curated selection of regional wines, harmonizing each dish in an elegant and warm atmosphere.

Día 1

Day 2: The Art of Enology in Dolores Hidalgo

After breakfast, we head to Dolores Hidalgo, the birthplace of Mexican Independence and the heart of the state’s wine region.

  • La Santísima Trinidad: Stroll through lush vineyards, lavender fields, and olive groves while tasting local wines, artisanal oils, and fresh cheeses.

Cuna de Tierra: Visit this award-winning winery for a guided carriage tour to the Torre de Tierra lookout and a descent into their underground cellar. The day peaks with a three-course lunch featuring endemic ingredients like xoconostle (sour prickly pear) and nopal cactus.

Day 3: The Splendor of San Miguel de Allende

We depart for the colonial crown jewel: San Miguel de Allende. Our morning begins at Finca Luna Serena, where you’ll learn the secrets of extra virgin olive oil extraction followed by a tasting paired with boutique wines. After an al fresco country lunch, we’ll move to the Historic Center for a walking tour of its cobbled streets, visiting the iconic Parroquia of San Miguel Arcángel and the vibrant main plaza. Enjoy free time to explore the city’s world-famous art galleries and boutiques.

Día 3

Day 4: Living History in Guanajuato Capital

Today is dedicated to the secrets of the capital city. Our walking tour covers the Juárez Theater, the University of Guanajuato, and the Basilica. We’ll visit the Diego Rivera Museum, the legendary Alley of the Kiss (Callejón del Beso), and the historic Alhóndiga de Granaditas. By night, experience the city’s most beloved tradition: a Callejoneada. Wander the narrow alleys accompanied by a Estudiantina (traditional musical group) for a night of music, humor, and local legends.

Día 4

Day 5: Return to Guadalajara

Enjoy a final traditional breakfast before our return transfer to Guadalajara, concluding a journey that fuses the finest flavors, aromas, and landscapes of Central Mexico.
